My competition pigeons

 

They are long distance and very long distance pigeons.

These pigeons are released at distances varying from 200 to 1000 km from their loft.

 

It is obvious that to provide such an effort, their preparation must be perfect.

Over these distances they may encounter completely different weather conditions from one region to the next.

For their return to Alsace, they have to cross various forests including those of the Northern Vosges, one of the largest forests

in France with all the risks that entails.... But we always look forward to their return with the greatest emotion...
